We may be able to secure a mortgage for you but this will depend on a few factors, have you had any bad credit in the last 12 months such as missed or late payments on unsecured borrowing such as credit cards, or loans?
Or have you been served with a default or County court judgment? If this is the case you will have to wait until you have a clear credit profile for 12 consecutive months.
Outside of that and once the poor credit is out of the 12 months we will be able to look at your mortgage options.
Very often with poor credit mortgages, you will need to provide a larger deposit for purchasing a property, typically between 15 and 30%.
- A mortgage is a loan secured against your home or property. Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage or any other debt secured on it.
- You may have to pay an early repayment charge to your existing lender if you remortgage.
